Eagle's Nest Retreat is a little slice of paradise, nestled on 33 acres of lush bushland on the eastern side of Mt Banca. With breathtaking views of Stanthorpe and the surrounding areas, it’s the perfect getaway. The retreat is entirely self-contained, boasting reverse cycle air conditioning, a cozy fireplace, and a spacious covered verandah that stretches the entire length of the cottage.

Inside, you’ll find two generously sized bedrooms, each 20 square meters, that open out onto the verandah. Both rooms feature queen-sized beds with electric blankets and remote-control blinds paired with blockout curtains. The ensuite in each room is a treat, with one offering a shower over a bath that looks out onto the serene bushland, while the second bedroom is equipped for disabled guests. The open-plan living and dining area is inviting, complete with a well-placed fireplace and access to the verandah. Keep entertained with the TV and a collection of DVDs and CDs, and whip up meals in the fully stocked kitchen which includes an oven, microwave, water filter, and coffee machine. For those balmy evenings, there’s an undercover carport and a gas BBQ ready and waiting for you. Plus, enjoy a complimentary local bottle of wine, some crackers, and tea/coffee-making facilities (with long-life milk and sugar sachets), locally made soaps, all linen, and firewood.

Getting to the property is a breeze with a 600m driveway, though it can be a bit steep in places. No worries though — the steeper sections are concreted, with guide posts and reflectors to light your way, day or night.

Eagle's Nest is just a quick 4-minute drive from Stanthorpe township, where you’ll find local shops, cafes, and supermarkets. The Stanthorpe Golf Course is only 5 minutes away too!

Please note, accommodation is not available for children under 14 years old. The second bedroom and ensuite are designed for disabled guests, but it’s best if a carer accompanies anyone needing assistance.
