It connects the seafront with the buzzing theatres and conference venues. This family-run gem overlooks Devonshire Park and the International Tennis Courts, and is just a quick stroll to the beach and promenade, not to mention a short walk into the town center.
All the en suite rooms face the front, some even offer views of the beautiful South Downs and the Tennis Centre. You’ll find tea and coffee-making facilities in each room, along with a TV featuring Freeview channels and a DVD player for your entertainment.
The resident owners, Darren and Laura, take immense pride in maintaining a stylish décor, sparkling clean spaces, a warm atmosphere, and delicious home-cooked food. They truly provide great value for your money and a personal touch to your stay. Plus, The Mowbray had the honor of being named Les Routiers Guest House of The Year in 2016!
This 4-star Edwardian guesthouse is close to Eastbourne's seafront, theatres and conference centres. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout and The Mowbray also serves award-winning breakfasts. There is plenty of on street parking close to the Mowbray.

There is plenty of such parking all around The Mowbray. Parking Permits are available on request. These provide parking all day and until 11:00 the following morning for just £3.00 per day.
In conformity to UK legislation The Mowbray is a no smoking property and only has non-smoking rooms. We guide our guests to the nearest smoking area if needed. Unfortunately a charge of £150 is added to any account where this has been breached.
As The Mowbray is In our delightful late Victorian or early Edwardian historic building there are some limitations for those with severely reduced mobility. The doors do not allow for wheelchairs use, the front door is up a few steps and the breakfast room is accessed by stairs, but for those with more mobility there are 2 good handrails at the entrance and the breakfast stairs, a lift goes to all bedrooms from the entrance floor and every ensuite, has a walk-in shower. We can serve a limited breakfast in the guest lounge if the breakfast stairs prove impossible.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. At The Mowbray, you may use the Special Requests box during booking or directly contact the property using the contact details provided in your confirmation.
