With a variety of game and bird species, Waterberg Wilderness - ONE Namibia is located 90 km east of Otjiwarongo. This private nature reserve offers views of the mountain plateau and Kalahari plains.

Guests can choose between three lodges: Waterberg Plateau Lodge on the mountain slope. Waterberg Wilderness - ONE Namibia Lodge in a valley and Waterberg Valley Lodge on a hill in the valley. The rooms are spacious and the beds are draped with a mosquito net. Each room comes equipped with a seating area, en-suite bathroom and features a patio with views of the Kalahari plains or the mountain.

All lodges feature a swimming pool and a restaurant with free WiFi and a fireplace.

Guests can relax in the garden and enjoy the scenic surrounds. Activities include game drives in the Kalahari plains including close encounters with white rhinos, guided hikes to the mountain plateau and cultural tours at an additional charge.

The Hoba Meteorite, near Grootfontein is within a 2 hours’ drive and the Etosha National Park is within a 4 hours’ drive.

The location and the activities. Ok so first off, this place? Wow. You feel like really in the wild, the tents are basic but comfy, beds spacious, windows perfect for catching that sunrise (nature’s alarm clock!). The views? Absolutely stunning everywhere - from where you sleep to that restaurant spot. Food’s pretty good too, a bit limited but tasty and they handle food needs no problem. And oh man rhino tracking on foot - wowza total once-in-a-lifetime vibe. Wesley, the guide, rocks - super pumped and knows his stuff making it way more exciting while hiking trails with epic plants around you. Quiet, exclusive feels too, seriously recommend!
