Jazmin was very warm and welcoming, helped with everything needed, and took care of nine friendly dogs, nine cats, and two chickens. The hostel had a big yard with hammocks to chill, a private beach nearby, clean dormbeds in traditional Wayuu style, clean toilet and bucket shower without running water but working well, internet and electricity were available until sunset. Breakfast was offered for 12,000 COP separately, a restaurant close to the hostel served delicious lunches priced around 30,000 to 45,000 COP. The Mayapo village was a 30-minute walk away, tours for La Guajira media and alta were arranged from there including food and lodging.
