The hotel was located about 5 to 7 minutes walk from the El Zaino entrance to Tayrona park with a garden that had parrots Paco and Lorre, a dog, and two rabbits. Lucila was the friendly and accommodating manager who helped with questions and brought guests to Calabazo entrance. The rooms were spacious with concrete walls in deluxe rooms that prevented insects, while wooden houses required strong mosquito repellent. Breakfast was good for the price but not included.
