Offering 15 ecological cottages built with local materials on pre-columbian agricultural terraces, Ecolodge La Estancia offers accomodation overlooking Titicaca lake.

Built with mud bricks, stone and straw, each cottage is equipped with a passive solar heating system and a private bathroom. In addition, each cottage offers panoramic views of Titicaca lake, the moon island and the Andes mountain range.

A buffet breakfast and a set meal for dinner are included daily.

Ecolodge La Estancia also has a restaurant and bar on site, where guests will be able to savour local dishes and drinks while soaking up the undisturbed views of the lake.

Guests at the property can also take part in activities, such as hiking, mystical ceremonies, archeological tours, as well as other cultural exchanges.

La Virgen Morena and Copacabana are 1 hour away by boat. Both Pilkokaina Ruins and Yumani Bay are 20 minutes away by boat. El Alto airport is 3.5 hours away by car.

The hostess Susana was friendly and helpful, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate serious dietary restrictions for both dinner and breakfast. The food was delicious with varied offerings at breakfast, and donkeys brought belongings up to the property so guests did not have to carry them during the long but beautiful walk.
