Closest to the sights is the Centro Histórico, with the Palacio de los López, the independence museums and the Panteón Nacional de los Héroes within walking distance. Those after modern malls, restaurants and quieter streets choose Villa Morra and Carmelitas, business and shopping districts with dining around Paseo Carmelitas and Paseo La Galería.
