We had a calm family break in West Wicklow that felt far from the city but wasn’t too long a drive from Dublin, though you’ll definitely need a car. We loved that every room had its own bathroom and the place was set up for self-catering, the backyard looked nice, but we didn’t get to use it because of the weather, and the host was quick to reply. Some issues from past reviews, like the house number on the door, had been sorted by the time we arrived.
