The Bull Inn Woodbridge

The Bull is a historic coaching inn located in the center of charming Woodbridge. The property overlooks Market Hill with the impressive Elizabethan Shire Hall and the beautiful St Mary’s Church.

The current building has been extended over the years and stands on the site of an older hostelry of the same name. The present building dates from the days when it was a posting house for the stagecoaches which ran from London to Great Yarmouth.

Around the bar, you will see parts of the original timber-frame which pre-dates the current structure and could possibly date from the 15th century in common with several other buildings around the market square.

All rooms have private ensuite facilities, free high-speed Wi-Fi, telephone, central heating and a modern high-pressure shower system.

The restaurant features traditional British dishes using fresh seasonal ingredients from local suppliers. The bar has an extensive wine menu and a good selection of local real ales and beers.

Woodbridge is a small country town on the River Deben - an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town boats an impressive array of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Sutton Hoo is a short drive and the coast is 15 miles away.
