Exceptional dinner was creative and novel with delightful wines, the breakfast buffet was excellent with good variety, and the rooms were comfortable with lovely bathrooms, stunning views from south-facing rooms and balconies overlooked half of Switzerland including the Alps and Solothurn below, while the hotel combined traditional and contemporary interior design in an updated 19th-century spa building.
