Hotels in Gurgaon: prices and the best time to book
Gurgaon, officially Gurugram, is a modern business city next to Delhi, full of high-rises, corporate parks and malls, known for the DLF Cyber City district and the many hotels along Golf Course Road. It is above all a destination for business trips, conferences and treatment at renowned hospitals such as Medanta, with stays ranging from simple properties in the sectors to five-star hotels and spa resorts. Prices here are unusual for a leisure destination: pricier midweek than at weekends, because business traffic rules. Our list covers 1 197 properties. Below you will find real nightly rates, the cheapest dates to book and a short guide to the area.
When to book for the lowest price
In Gurgaon prices work differently from a typical tourist city. It is cheapest in the monsoon season, especially August, and in early spring, when rates can run tens of percent below the peak. It is priciest in autumn and early winter, peaking in November, when the conference and wedding seasons and the pleasant post-monsoon weather all overlap. Within the week the business profile rules: it tends to be cheapest on Friday and at weekends, and priciest early in the week, on Monday, when business travellers arrive. That is the opposite of a resort. Guests usually book short stays of a few days.
How much a stay in Gurgaon costs by property type
Most of it comes down to standard and the location within the sectors. A simple hotel or serviced apartment can be found from a few hundred rupees a night, a four-star hotel costs more, and a room in a five-star property on Golf Course Road or a spa resort runs a multiple of the budget rate. The rates below are real starting prices per night, taken from current offers.
| Property type | Price per night (from) |
| Serviced apartments and budget properties | from approx. INR 950 |
| 3-star hotels | from approx. INR 1,500 |
| 4-star hotels | from approx. INR 3,800 |
| 5-star hotels | from approx. INR 6,800 |
| Luxury hotels and spa resorts | from approx. INR 15,000 |

Where to stay
The most hotels and the handiest access to offices are in DLF Cyber City and along Golf Course Road, where the five-star properties, office towers and Cyber Hub dining cluster. It is the area most in demand with business travellers, well linked by metro. The sectors along Sohna Road and by Huda City Centre station are practical too, close to malls and hospitals such as Medanta. It is quieter and often cheaper on the outskirts, in Manesar and Sohna, where the spa and golf resorts stand. The city sits right by Delhi, and the nearest airport is New Delhi Indira Gandhi, so Gurgaon also serves as a base for travellers from the airport.
When Gurgaon is more expensive
The season in Gurgaon is set by the weather and the business and social calendar. The highest prices fall in autumn and early winter, peaking in November, when the pleasant post-monsoon weather returns, conferences start and the wedding season is on. Weekday nights early in the week are pricey too, when the city fills with business travellers. It is cheapest and calmest in the monsoon, around August, and at weekends, when business traffic eases. That is a good time if you want a lower price and do not mind the rain.
