About Gaikou Lodge

Situated within the Marloth Nature Reserve, this 4-star lodge offers breathtaking views of the mountains, river and forest. Fishing is possible in Gaikou’s 2 dams, surrounded by native wild flowers.

The luxuriously decorated rooms and villas include private patios or wide verandas. Flat-screen TVs, kitchenettes and bathtubs are standard in all units.

Visitors can enjoy hiking and walking trails on foot or on horseback. There is a river trail on the property, where lure and fly fishing can be practiced.

Breakfast is served on Gaikou Lodge’s veranda or inside, at the reception area.

The historic Swellendam can be found 20 minutes’ walk from the lodge. Free private parking is available on site at Gaikou Lodge.
