Book a transferBermuda is a British territory in the Atlantic, known for its pink sand beaches, coral reefs and pastel architecture. It is an upper-tier destination, so room prices are high and the hotel base is small. We list 38 properties across 15 areas: from apartments and guesthouses to large resorts and 5-star hotels. Below you will find indicative prices, the most popular areas and tips on season and getting there.
The price depends on the standard, the area and the dates. The table shows indicative nightly rates for a double room. The cheapest months are usually January and November, while May to June is the priciest as the beach season starts. The property base is small, so booking ahead matters here.
| Property standard | Indicative price per night (from) |
|---|---|
| Apartments and guesthouses | from approx. 175 $ |
| 3-star hotels | from approx. 520 $ |
| 4-star hotels and resorts | from approx. 780 $ |
| 5-star and premium hotels | from approx. 980 $ |

The island is small and elongated, and properties cluster around a few centres:
Nightly rates vary between areas. Here are indicative prices per night for a double room:
| Area | Indicative price per night (from) |
|---|---|
| Hamilton | from approx. 500 $ |
| Saint George's | from approx. 460 $ |
| Southampton | from approx. 590 $ |
| Mount Pleasant | from approx. 430 $ |
The islands' draws are their beaches, caves and underwater shipwrecks.
Beyond the room, the island is expensive. A cheap meal runs about 35 $ and a mid-range meal around 60 $. The currency is the Bermudian dollar, pegged one-to-one to the US dollar, and USD is accepted almost everywhere. Cards are in common use. A single transport ticket is about 5 $, and a weekly bus and ferry pass costs around 70 $.
For a beach holiday, June to September is best, when it is warm and the water is good for swimming. That is also the price peak. The cheapest months for a room are January and November, while May and June mark the start of the season and rising rates. Spring and autumn are quieter and cheaper, though it can be cool for swimming.
You reach the island by air at L.F. Wade Airport (code BDA), with direct flights from the USA, Canada and London. Cruise ships also call in summer. A good network of buses and ferries covers the island, with passes of up to 7 days offering unlimited travel. Car rental is not available to foreigners, so you get around by bus, ferry, taxi or a rented scooter or small electric vehicle.
A few recognisable properties for reference:
Prices are usually lowest in January and November. May to June tends to be the most expensive, and the beach season runs from June to September. The property base is small, so book ahead for better rates.
