Book a transferAnguilla is a small Caribbean island famous for its 33 white-sand beaches and crystal-clear water. It is mainly a luxury destination, with elegant resorts and villas. We list 51 properties across 18 towns: from guesthouses to top-tier hotels. Below you will find indicative prices, the most popular destinations and tips on the season and how to get there.
The price depends on the standard, the location and the dates. The table shows indicative nightly rates for a double room. Rates are lowest in September and highest in February at the peak of the season. Booking ahead usually brings better rates.

|---|---|

The island is small and most properties are close to the beaches. These are the destinations travellers choose most often:
Nightly rates vary between areas. Here are indicative prices per night for a double room:

The currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar. Cards are accepted in most hotels and venues, but it is worth keeping cash for small purchases. A cheap meal out is about 13 dollars per person, a mid-range dish about 47 dollars. You can exchange money at the airport. Anguilla is a rather pricey destination, with some of the highest room rates in the Caribbean.
The best time is December to May, outside the hurricane season that runs from June to November. At the peak of the season, especially February, prices are highest. September tends to be the cheapest month, but it falls in the middle of the hurricane season. Outside the peak it is easier to find lower rates.
The only airport has direct flights from San Juan in Puerto Rico and from nearby Sint Maarten. Most travellers fly into Sint Maarten and take the ferry from Marigot to Blowing Point on Anguilla, a crossing of about 30 minutes that runs every 45 minutes or so. There are no buses or trains on the island, and taxis with fixed fares across ten zones are the only option. Driving is on the left, and a local permit from the rental company is needed.
A few recognisable properties from different parts of the island for reference:
Prices are usually lowest in September, but that is the middle of the hurricane season. February at the height of winter tends to be the most expensive. The best compromise is early or late season, when the weather is settled and prices lower than at the peak.
The most popular area is West End Village, home to the best-known resorts and beaches. The island's capital is The Valley.
