Book a transferAndorra is a small mountain country in the Pyrenees, between France and Spain. It is known for skiing, hiking trails and tax-free shopping. We list 810 properties across 35 towns: from hostels and guesthouses to spa hotels. Below you will find indicative prices, the most popular destinations and tips on the season and how to get there.
The price depends on the standard, the town and the dates. The table shows indicative nightly rates for a double room. The cheapest month is usually June, while February at the peak of the ski season is the priciest. Booking ahead usually brings better rates.
| Property standard | Indicative price per night (from) |
|---|---|
| 2-star hotels and budget stays | from approx. 55 € |
| 3-star hotels | from approx. 85 € |
| 4-star hotels | from approx. 120 € |
| 5-star and premium hotels | from approx. 180 € |

Andorra is small and most towns are a short drive apart. These are the destinations travellers choose most often:
Nightly rates vary between towns. Here are indicative prices per night for a double room:
| Town | Indicative price per night (from) |
|---|---|
| Andorra la Vella | from approx. 70 € |
| Les Escaldes | from approx. 75 € |
| El Pas de la Casa | from approx. 65 € |

| Ordino | from approx. 68 € |
Andorra combines mountains, heritage and shopping, so it is easy to match a trip to the season.
Beyond the room, daily costs are moderate. A cheap meal is about 10 euros, a mid-range restaurant about 20 euros per person. A local bus ticket costs roughly 1.20 to 3 euros depending on the route. Visa and Mastercard are accepted almost everywhere, though a little cash is handy in smaller places. Andorra uses the euro even though it is not part of the European Union.
For skiing the best period is December to April, when prices are highest. For sightseeing and hiking, April to October is more comfortable, with warm and dry weather. June tends to be the cheapest month and February the most expensive. Outside the ski season it is easier to find better rates.
Andorra has no airport of its own. Most travellers fly into Barcelona or Toulouse and take a bus (such as Andbus, Eurolines or Alsa) straight to Andorra. You can drive in from Spain or France, the French route being more winding, while the Envalira tunnel shortens the trip in winter. Within the country, buses run by the local Cooperativa Interurbana Andorrana serve the towns, with most lines passing through Andorra la Vella. An International Driving Permit is needed to rent a car.
A few recognisable properties from different towns for reference:
Prices are usually lowest in June, outside the ski season. February at the height of winter tends to be the most expensive. Booking a few weeks ahead usually helps you find a better rate.
The most popular destination is the capital, Andorra la Vella. It has the widest choice of hotels and the largest shopping area.
Andorra is not part of the European Union, but the only way in is through France or Spain. Travellers from outside the Schengen Area should hold a valid Schengen visa, as they cross the borders of those countries.
No. Andorra has no airport of its own. Most travellers fly into Barcelona or Toulouse and continue by bus or car.
