Edgewater is a 4-minute drive from Wānaka township or a 20-minute walk around the lake. Queenstown is a 1-hour drive away via the Crown Range.

Lakeview room had large windows, a balcony, bathrobes, and a bath with views down to the lake where ducks waddled up to the door, the grass was well cut. The restaurant was very good and dinner was highly recommended while the bar was great. Friendly staff at check-in oriented guests to hiking trails and local community support. The location was fantastic, right on the lakeside with an easy 10-minute walk along the lake trail into town near the Wanaka tree. Washer dryer was ideal halfway through the trip.
