Hotels in Branson: prices and the best time to book
Branson is an entertainment town in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, famous for its dozens of live-show theatres, the Silver Dollar City theme park and lakeside leisure on Table Rock Lake. It is a family destination for concerts, shows, amusement rides and fishing trips, and most hotels line the theatre strip and the Branson Landing waterfront. Room rates are seasonal and day-driven: pricier in summer and at weekends, cheaper off season and midweek. Our list covers 1 203 properties. Below you will find real nightly rates, the cheapest dates to book and a short guide to the area.
When to book for the lowest price
In Branson the show season and the day of the week decide the price. It is priciest and busiest in summer, peaking in June, when families come for the shows and attractions. It is cheapest off season, especially around February and in early spring, when traffic eases and rates drop. The mild weather and autumn foliage in spring and fall favour hiking at lower prices. Within the week it tends to be cheapest on a Monday and priciest on a Sunday, as this is a weekend-getaway destination. Summer deals are worth booking around seven weeks before your stay.
How much a stay in Branson costs by property type
Most of it comes down to standard. A simple motel or 2-star property can be found from around fifty dollars a night, a 3-star hotel or apartment costs more, and a lakeside spa resort runs a multiple of that. The rates below are real starting prices per night, taken from current offers.
| Property type | Price per night (from) |
| Motels and 2-star properties | from approx. US$50 |
| 3-star hotels | from approx. US$90 |
| Apartments and vacation rentals | from approx. US$100 |
| 4-star hotels | from approx. US$115 |
| Lakeside and premium resorts | from approx. US$209 |
Indicative nightly rates, strongly dependent on the season and day (noticeably higher in summer, especially June, and at weekends than in winter midweek). Check exact prices and availability by selecting your dates in the search above.
Which hotel suits whom
- Families. Hotels with a pool near the theatres and attractions work well, such as The Stone Castle Hotel with its castle facade or Best Western Music Capital Inn with an indoor pool, handy for a stay with children.
- Couples. For a quiet stay, intimate hotels with Ozark views work well, such as Branson Towers Hotel on a hilltop or properties by Table Rock Lake.
- By the lake. If you want to mix the shows with lakeside leisure, choose resorts on Table Rock Lake, such as Chateau On The Lake Resort Spa.
- Budget. The cheapest stays are in motels along the theatre strip, such as Angel Inn Central or Scenic Hills Inn, close to the trails and attractions, good for a short stay.

Where to stay
The handiest area is the theatre strip along 76 Country Boulevard and the Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, where most hotels and motels cluster close to the stages, restaurants and attractions such as Silver Dollar City. It is more urban and on the water downtown, around the Branson Landing waterfront, with shops and restaurants close by. It is calmer and more scenic by Table Rock Lake and on the surrounding hills, where resorts and intimate hotels sit, good if you want quiet and nature close at hand. You get around by car, with Branson and Springfield-Branson the nearest airports.
When Branson is more expensive
The season in Branson is set by the show calendar and the Ozark weather. The highest prices and biggest crowds fall in summer, when families come for the shows, Silver Dollar City and the lake, peaking in June. Weekends, especially Sundays, are also pricey for much of the warm season. It is calmest and cheapest in winter, around February, and in early spring, when the town slows down and rooms get cheaper. Spring and fall are a good time for hiking and shows without the crowds and at a lower price, with mild weather and autumn foliage.
