Hotels in Antibes: prices, timing and areas
Antibes sits on the French Riviera, right between Nice and Cannes, pairing a walled old town with the largest yachting harbour on the coast. Guests stay about five nights on average and circle Vieil Antibes, Port Vauban, the Picasso Museum and the beaches that run on towards neighbouring Juan-les-Pins. This list has 1 396 properties, from a bed in a studio to five-star residences right by the sea. Below is what really drives the price of a stay in Antibes: the month, the day of the week and the distance from the old town.
When to book a stay in Antibes for less
The seaside season rules in Antibes. December is the cheapest, when rates fall more than 80 percent below the peak and tend to be the lowest of the year. July is the priciest, in the thick of summer, when prices can run several times higher than in winter, with the jazz festival in Juan-les-Pins on top. The day of the week matters too: Tuesday usually works out cheapest, while Monday tends to be the dearest. For a July trip, book well ahead, ideally around three months, as seaside rooms climb quickly and sell out close to the date.
What a stay costs by property type
Antibes has a wide spread of prices, so a bed in a studio and a family apartment by the beach are worlds apart. The cheapest sleep is in studios and one or two-star places; you pay the most for five-star residences over the bay. Below are indicative nightly rates.
| Property type | Indicative price per night (from) |
| Bed in a studio or cheap room | from approx. EUR 40 |
| One or two-star hotel | from approx. EUR 55 |
| Three-star hotel | from approx. EUR 95 |
| Apartment or family room | from approx. EUR 110 |
| Four-star hotel | from approx. EUR 120 |

Where a stay is cheaper and where it costs more
Most people look for a room right in central Antibes, near Vieil Antibes and Port Vauban, and this is where the choice is widest. Quieter and often cheaper rooms are found in the Le Fournel, Le Ponteil and La Fontonne areas, a little away from the old-town bustle. More expensive and more resort-like are the addresses by the sea and in fashionable Juan-les-Pins, where prices start at roughly EUR 110 per night. The highest rates tend to be for residences out on the Cap d'Antibes headland.
Which stay in Antibes suits whom
- First time in Antibes. The centre by Vieil Antibes is the easiest base. From here you can walk to Port Vauban, the Picasso Museum, the Provençal market and the ramparts.
- For families. Properties with family rooms near the beaches and the Marineland park with its dolphin shows. Easy to mix a swim with a day full of attractions for the kids.
- For couples. Boutique hotels in the old town and over the bay, close to restaurants serving Provençal food. Everything is a short walk from here for dinner with bouillabaisse or a glass of wine.
- With breakfast. Many hotels in the centre include breakfast in the rate, which helps you set off early for the beach or the museums. Handy with a tight day plan.
- Near the airport. Hotels closer to Nice suit an early flight, as Nice Côte d'Azur airport is only about 17 km from Antibes. The train or bus along the Riviera runs often and cheap.
- By the sea and the beach. Addresses in Juan-les-Pins and over the bay put sandy beaches within a walk. This is the most resort-like part of the area, and the priciest in summer.

When Antibes costs more
The priciest dates are the summer months, June to August, when crowds of beachgoers descend on the Riviera. In July prices are pushed up further by the Jazz à Juan festival in Juan-les-Pins, one of the oldest in Europe. Spring draws the Antibes Yacht Show, with luxury yachts in Port Vauban. On these dates hotels in the centre and by the sea go up and fill faster. The quietest and cheapest time is winter, when the empty ramparts, the market and the seaside promenade remain.
