The Aktivhotel Gasthof Schmelz, a still genuine Bavarian inn, is located in Chiemgau, right at the gateway to Berchtesgadener Land. in a beautiful valley about 2.5 km outside of Inzell. From here you can go on excursions to the surrounding area, e.g. Salzburg about 30 km, Chiemsee, Berchtesgaden Salt Mine or Königsee about 40 km, Bad Reichenhall, Reit im Winkl or Traunstein about 20 to 30 km. Hiking and cycling starts right outside the front door. We have a special bike barn for your bikes. You can get free hiking/cycling maps at our reception.

Newly renovated rooms and bathrooms, an indoor pool at around 28/29 degrees, a hot whirlpool open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., an alpine sauna daily from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., a steam bath, an infrared light cabin and a small fitness room await you in the hotel. In our restaurant "Hoamat Gfühl" we provide you with a large breakfast buffet in the morning.

There are various types of tea, juices, jams from Darbö, honey and fresh cold cuts, ham and cheese. Berchtesgaden alpine butter, diet margarine and fresh fruit, tomatoes and gherkins. Various cereals and oat flakes with various dairy products - also lactose-free. Our bread selection with rolls, grain rolls, black and white bread and homemade cakes round off the offer. If you would prefer cappuccino or something similar instead of the fresh coffee that is waiting for you on the table, you are welcome to order this from our friendly service staff. The first drink is included for you. The restaurant, including the beer garden - weather permitting - opens at 2 p.m. Coffee, homemade cakes, Bavarian dishes, fresh trout and game dishes - most of which are homemade - are on our menu. If you have any special requests, just ask us, we are all trained chefs and will be happy to accommodate them. On Sunday and Monday you can enjoy the usual breakfast buffet in the restaurant, but the restaurant is closed in the evening on these days of the week.
